Anxiety and fantasy.
The past catches up with you, slips past, is now colluding with the future like a pair of cyclists, each taking a turn at the front, pulling the pair ever further away from you.

 

Austin English (b. San Francisco, 1983) is an artist and cartoonist living in Brooklyn. He is the author of Gulag Casual, published by 2dcloud in 2016. He is currently working on the long form book Meskin and Umezo, and a solo show slated for 2019 at Marvin Gardens Gallery in New York.  

 

Sam Spano (b. 1987, Swampscott, MA) is a visual artist based in Oakland, California. He received his BFA from the New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University (2009) and his MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute (2015). Recent solo exhibitions include Dinner For Two, Guerrero Gallery and The Dog’s Dream: Song of the Underworld, 100%. Recent group exhibitions at HILDE, Los Angeles; Et al., San Francisco; Massman Gallery, Oakland; Alter Space/The Battery, San Francisco; and Emma Geller Green, New York.
