Pith is a collection of heirlooms in reverse taking form as works on fabric. Pith, the bitter, peripheral part of an orange, shares a definition with one’s truest and innermost essence and functions as both metaphor and scaffold in the artist’s reckoning of intersecting matriarchal, familial, and geopolitical histories.
